Andy Douglas has been sewing for 8 years and started cosplaying around the same time. She loves designing her own creative twist on princesses, comic characters, and more, styling not only handmade costumes but her wigs, makeup, and props as well. Her craftsmanship ranges from Broadway inspired transformation dresses to historical pieces to screen accurate recreations, all custom made. Andy won first at Fan Expo Dallas and have been a guest at RGV Fan Fest and CollectorMania.
Jazmine is a graduate student at UTRGV and artist from the Grande Valley community. She enjoys multiple hobbies which all relate to art. She is also a Cosplayer. Creating her own costumes from scratch, Jazmin continuously tries to overcome the challenges of bringing her favorite characters to life for family oriented events. Cosplaying since 2016, she has won many awards at events including South Texas Comic Con, STCC's Fan Weekend, Pokefest, United Collectors Expo and more.
My name is Alex Sauceda aka Troy Loren. I am a performing artist and costume designer from Rio Grande City for 4 years. I compete in national pageantry and am your current Texas National Showman. I placed 1st place at nationals in Showman Costume and Glitz Formal Wear and am glad to have these titles sit in the RGV. I've participated in Collectormania, United Collectors Expo, Silver Owl Harry Potter convention. My cosplay costumes are performance art. Find me performing in the RGV monthly.
Nidia Cosplay is a local cosplayer, of 5 years, that works on original designs. Hand crafting wigs, building foam armors, sowing outfits, and special effects props. I have competed and displayed my cosplays in a variety of local events such as STXCC, STGX, Comicpalooza, RGV Pokefest, Pokefest SA, United Collectors Expo, Collectormania.
My name is Susana Leyva (Vixen La Muse) I have been a Cosplayer for 5 years. I love making and becoming my favorite characters. I have been a guest cosplayer and judge for many Event like Comiccon, Collector-mania, United Collectors Expo, International Gaming Expo, Pokefest, Animefest, and Gamers Expo. I love that I can express myself thru Cosplay and consider the craft a form of Art.

Bring your applications to the Expo. Check in by 2:00 on the day of the Contest.

NO "REAL" WEAPONS ALLOWED (SWORDS, KNIVES, GUNS, ETC.).

Outfits and accessories must not have any sharp or pointed edges. Pyrotechnic equipment like fireworks will be strictly prohibited. All Guns must be plastic and have orange tip. Equipment or substances that will render the venue stage or another participant’s costume is strictly prohibited. Exit the stage as clean as when you entered it.

No fire, flame, smoke, fog, dry ice, wind machines, lasers, pressurized gases or liquids or messy substances are allowed.

Nudity, excessive violence or sexual content is strictly prohibited.

Foul language is prohibited. The Cosplay Contest may be photographed, filmed or broadcast. You grant permission the Latino Comics Expo Brownsville to film, photograph, or record your image and voice in connection with the distribution and exhibition of the Cosplay Contest.
